Lego TIE Bomber
The TIE Bomber made it’s first appearance in The Empire Strikes Back and has ever since played an intricate role in the Empire’s mission of total domination. For this series I wanted to capture the bomber in it’s natural environment, flying low and fast over one of the so many desert planets in the Star Wars universe. Dirt and sand were used as building blocks for the landscape. Large rocks were positioned close to the camera while small rocks were set further away to create a scale. To capture the kinetic feel of a bombing run, a fog machine was used to generate in-camera clouds and dust as the ship swooshed from above. This adds a since of speed and energy to otherwise would have been a stagnate shot.
